About PayToMe: invoicing built for speed and honesty
Learn about PayToMe, an AI-native invoicing product in public beta: our mission, the principles we build by, what is live today and what is in development.
Updated · By PayToMe Editorial
This page is about PayToMe: what we are building, why, and how far along we are. PayToMe is an AI-native way to invoice. The idea is that you say it, snap it or type it, send the invoice by SMS or email, and get paid by card, bank or wallet. PayToMe is in public beta: you can sign up and use it today, and this page separates what is live from what is still in development.
About PayToMe: our mission
Small businesses and freelancers lose hours every month to invoicing. They retype the same client details, look up tax rules, chase late payments and wait for money that was earned weeks ago. Our mission is to make getting paid as fast as the work itself: describe the job once, and let software handle the paperwork while you stay in control.
Our tagline says it briefly: get paid at the speed of thought.
Principles we build by
Speed
An invoice should take seconds to draft, not an evening. We design every screen and every page of this site to load fast and get out of your way. A fast site is also a small one, with no heavy scripts.
Honesty
We tell you what is live and what is not. If a feature is in development, we say “planned” or “in development”. We do not publish made-up customer quotes, user counts or awards. If we get something wrong, we fix it and say so. Our editorial policy explains how we check what we publish.
Privacy
Invoices contain names, amounts and addresses. We collect as little as we can. This website uses no cookies and no analytics, and the free generators keep what you type in your browser. Details are in our privacy policy and on the security page.
Safe AI
Our assistant is called Via. The rule for Via is simple: it prepares, you decide. Via may draft an invoice, but it asks before anything is sent, and it asks when it is unsure about who receives an invoice or how much it is for. The totals are never calculated by a language model. PayToMe’s invoice engine does the arithmetic to the cent, and Via only fills in inputs that you can review. Read more on the AI page.
What is live today
Today you can use:
- This website, including guides, glossary entries, comparison pages and invoice templates for different trades.
- The free tools, which run in your browser, such as the invoice generator, the late fee calculator and the sales tax calculator. See all of them on the tools page.
- The PayToMe app at app.paytome.si, with invoices, estimates, clients, items, PDFs, sending by email and a public invoice link for each invoice.
- Online payments by card, bank transfer and wallets through Stripe, with receipts, partial and split payments and scheduled payments.
- The Free, Pro and Business plans, bought by card through Stripe and cancelled any time. The pricing page has the numbers, and the Enterprise plan is a conversation: talk to us.
- Via, the AI assistant, in beta: chat, snap-to-invoice extraction and proposals. See AI invoicing.
- An optional newsletter, where you can leave your email address. You confirm your address by email (double opt-in), and you can unsubscribe at any time.
What is in development
These parts of PayToMe are in development and are not live yet:
- Smart reminders. Reminders timed and worded for each client. See smart reminders.
- Cash flow forecast. A view of the cash you can expect. See the cash flow forecast.
- Text-to-pay and SMS. Sending invoices and payment requests by text message.
- Recurring invoices. Invoices that create and send themselves on a schedule.
- The mobile app. Invoice from your phone. See the mobile invoicing app.
We do not give dates for work in development. When a feature goes live, its page on this site will say so.
What we do not claim
We do not describe a team, an office, funding or customers here, because we would rather say nothing than say something unverified. If that changes, this page will be updated and dated.
How to reach us
Questions, feedback or corrections are welcome. The contact page lists the right email address for each purpose. You can see what PayToMe costs on the pricing page, or sign up and try the Free plan.
