PayToMe terms of service for the website, free tools and app

These are the PayToMe terms of service for the website at paytome.si and the free tools on it, such as the invoice generator. By using the site you agree to them. If you do not agree, please do not use the site. PayToMe is in public beta. People sign up at app.paytome.si, and this draft also covers accounts and paid plans in brief. More detailed terms for the product may be added, and you will be asked to accept them before you use the features they cover.

What these terms cover

These terms cover:

• reading the content on the website;
• using the free tools and calculators listed on the tools page;
• joining the optional newsletter;
• having an account at app.paytome.si and buying a paid plan, as described in the sections below.

The mobile app is in development and is not covered yet.

Using the free tools

The free tools help you create documents and run calculations. They run in your browser, and what you type stays in your browser, as described in our privacy policy. You may use the output for your own business or personal purposes.

No warranty on generated invoices

The tools are provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, express or implied. You are responsible for checking every invoice, estimate, receipt or calculation before you use or send it. In particular:

• You are responsible for the accuracy of what you enter and of the result you send.
• You are responsible for complying with the laws that apply to you and your client, including tax, invoicing, consumer protection and record-keeping rules in your location.
• Tax rates, late fee limits and invoice requirements vary by place and change over time. The tools and content on this site may be incomplete or out of date.
• Nothing on this site is legal, tax or accounting advice. For advice about your situation, speak to a qualified professional.

Acceptable use

When using the site, you agree not to:

1. break the law or help anyone else do so;
2. try to gain unauthorized access to the site, its servers or other people’s data;
3. interfere with the site, for example through denial-of-service attacks, scraping at a harmful rate, or automated sign-ups to the newsletter;
4. introduce malware or other harmful code;
5. use the tools to create invoices or documents that are false, misleading or fraudulent;
6. pretend to be another person or organization.

If you find a security problem, please report it as described on our security page rather than exploiting it.

Accounts

You can create an account at app.paytome.si and sign in with a passkey, a wallet or a code sent to your email address. You are responsible for keeping your sign-in method secure and for what happens under your account. Tell us at security@paytome.si if you think someone else has access to it.

Paid plans and payments

PayToMe has Free, Pro and Business plans, and an Enterprise plan you can ask us about. The Pro and Business plans are subscriptions, billed by Stripe, and you can cancel any time. Payments you take from your clients are processed by Stripe, and PayToMe does not store card numbers. The current prices and limits are on the pricing page. You are responsible for the invoices you create and send with PayToMe, and for the accuracy of what they say.

Newsletter

The newsletter is optional. When you join, we email you a confirmation, and you are only subscribed once you confirm it. You can unsubscribe at any time using the link in every email, and you can ask for deletion as described in the privacy policy.

Intellectual property

The PayToMe name, logo, site design, text and code are owned by PayToMe or its licensors and are protected by intellectual property laws. You may view the site and link to it. You may not copy, republish or sell our content or code without permission, except as allowed by law.

Documents you create with the free tools, and the content you enter, belong to you. We do not receive what you type into the generators.

Third-party links and services

The site may link to other websites, including official government sources. We do not control them and are not responsible for their content. The site is hosted by Cloudflare, emails are sent through Resend and payments are processed by Stripe, as described in the privacy policy.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent allowed by law, PayToMe is not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for lost profits, revenue, data or business opportunities, arising from your use of, or inability to use, the site or the free tools. To the fullest extent allowed by law, our total liability for any claim relating to the site or tools is limited to the amount you paid us for them, which for the free tools is zero. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, such as liability for fraud or for death or personal injury caused by negligence, and some places do not allow certain limits, so parts of this section may not apply to you.

Availability and changes to the site

We may change, suspend or remove any part of the site or tools at any time, without notice. We try to keep the site available, but we do not promise it will be uninterrupted or error-free.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms, especially as the product changes. The “updated” date shows the latest revision. If you keep using the site after a change, you accept the updated terms. For material changes, we will tell account holders and newsletter subscribers by email.

Governing law

The governing law and the place where disputes are resolved will be set out in the reviewed version of these terms.
